1 cup | margarine | 1/2 cup | confectioner's sugar, unsifted | 2 cups | flour | 1/4 tsp. | salt | 1 tsp. | vanilla | 1/2 cup | nuts, chopped |
| Cream margarine; gradually add the confectioner's sugar and cream until fluffy. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pinch off small pieces of dough and roll with hands into fingers or balls. (If dough is too soft to form, chill for about 15 minutes.) Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375 for about 10 minutes. While hot, roll in confectioner's sugar. Cool on rack - sometimes I sift more powdered sugar over cookies after moving to rack. I always put waxed paper under cooling racks to minimize cleanup. |
