Can tomato paste | 1/2 t. | salt | dash | Pepper | 4 oz. | Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (1 cup) | 1/2 c. | soft bread crumbs | 2 | well-beaten eggs | 1/4 c. oil | | 2 cups(7oz. Pkg.) | shell or elbow macaroni, cooked & drained |
| Brown ground beef, onion and garlic in large skillet. Cook spinach using package directions. Drain, reserving liquid; add water to make 1 cup. Add spinach liquid, spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt and pepper to meat mixture. Simmer 10 minutes.
Combine spinach with macaroni, cheese, bread crumbs, eggs and oil; spread in 13 X 9 X 2 baking dish. Top with meat sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Serves 8 to 10. |
