Chili
Ingredients

2 lbs.ground beef
2 T.fat
1 1/2 cupsdiced onion
2garlic clove, minced
1 cupgreen pepper, diced
3 cupscanned tomatoes
chili powderto taste
4 T.cold water
2 tsp.salt
2 tsp.sugar
2 tsp.worcestershire sauce
3 1/2 cupsred kidney beans (or 2 cans, drained)
Brown ground beef in fat. Add onion, garlic and green pepper and cook until onions are transparent. Add canned tomatoes (or equivalent in fresh tomatoes), chili powder, water, salt, sugar and worcestershire sauce. Cover and simmer 1 hour. Add kidney beans and simmer uncovered for another hour. Serves 6 or 7. Can mix spices together in the water and add all at once, if desired.
