6 slices | whole wheat bread | 1/2 pound | sliced bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces | 1 pkg. (8 oz.) | fresh mushrooms, sliced | 1 cup | chopped broccoli florets | 1 teaspoon | dried thyme | 4 | eggs | 2 cups | milk | 2 teaspoons | worcestershire sauce | 1 cup | Shredded cheddar cheese (4 oz.) | 1 cup | Shredded swiss cheese (4 0z.) |
| Arrange bread in bottom of a lightly greased 13 X 9 pan. Cook bacon in skillet over medium heat until browned; drain on paper towel. Sprinkle evenly on bread. In same skillet, cook mushrooms over medium heat for 3 minutes; drain. Spoon mushrooms over bacon. Spoon broccoli over bacon and sprinkle with thyme. In a medium bowl, combine eggs, milk and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over broccoli. Sprinkle with cheddar and swiss cheeses. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. 8 servings. |
