| Place brisket in heavy skillet and brown on all sides. Use a little oil to avoid burning, if necessary. Add and brown onions and garlic. Add remaining ingredients and simmer, covered, until meat is tender, about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Add liquid if necessary. Slice. Serves 10. |
