California Casserole - Part 1

1/3 c.flour
1 teaspoonpaprika
2 lbs.round steak
1/4 c.oil
1 soup canwater and onion juice
1 16 oz. Jar(1 1/2 c.) small onions, drained
1 (10 3/4 oz.)cancondensed cream of chicken soup
In shallow bowl combine 1/3 cup flour and paprika; mix well. Add meat; coat well with flour mixture. In large skillet, heat 1/4 cup oil over medium-high heat. Add meat and cook until browned. Put meat in baking dish and add jar (Aunt Nellie's) whole onions (save juice). In skillet, heat 1 can cream of chicken soup with onion juice plus water to make 1 can full. Pour over meat. Cook at 350 degrees in oven for 45 minutes (uncovered). Increase heat to 425 degrees. Drop dumplings on top and bake 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly brown.
